Zwane (suspension) has been handed a three-match ban by FIFA following his red card against Mexico, subject to appeal, a which could end his campaign, according to Lorenz Kohler
Analysis: Zwane picked up a red card not long after entering the game as a substitute in South Africa's World Cup opener against Mexico, with the punishment now extended to a three game ban pending appeal. That means he will miss the remainder of the group stage as well as the round of 32, and with South Africa currently sitting fourth in the standings, his tournament could effectively be over should the team's situation remain unchanged.
Sent off in WC opener
Zwane was sent off in Thursday's World Cup opener against Mexico.
Analysis: Zwane came off the bench in the second half and, aside from failing to make an impact in Mexico's final third, was sent off for aggression. Zwane will miss the Czech Republic tilt on June 18 but could return to face South Korea on June 24 as long as his ban is only one match.
